About Dr Brendan Harding
Brendan qualified as Doctor from University College Dublin in 1975.
He qualified as a Surgeon from Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin in 1983. He was awarded a Master of Surgery degree for clinical and procedural work on the spleen in 1986.
Brendan started Jungian Training in USA in 1990 and completed his analysis using the symbol technique in 1997. He continued to explore the
psyche in Gestalt therapy and had the privilege of working with the renowned Dr. Robert Lee (Author of many respected books) for five years as a student of Gestalt at the experiential level.
Due to his unique ability to combine surgery and psychotherapy for patients and for the success that he was clearly able to demonstrate he was invited to be a founding Member of the Canadian Association for Sandplay Therapy in 1995.

Brendan has been a member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy since 1993 and a teaching member of the organization since 1995, teaching in London twice a year until recently.
He has presented his work at many international venues including London Vancouver, Toronto, Stuttgart, Verona Italy, Souel Korea, Cambridge,
San Francisco, St John’s Newfoundland Canada and most recently Berlin.
He is also a graduate of the School of Awakening. (Eckhart Tolle).
Brendan has been seeing clients and practicing as a surgeon for 28 years though recently retired from surgery he has more time to give to his hobbies which include tin whistle, classical guitar, photography gardening and painting. He lives with his partner in Ballinasloe where his present psychotherapy practice is situated.
