2002 Seeing clients at the Tara Centre for Personal Development , Omagh,
Northern Ireland. One of the facilitators for the senior meditation group at
that centre.
2000 Employed briefly at the Trauma Center, Omagh, as a Sandplay Therapist,
and then chose to move to the Tara Centre in a similar position.

April 1997 to 1999, my hours in surgery were reduced at the James Paton
Hospital to facilitate more time for psychotherapy practice. In this year I was
granted privileges in psychotherapy at the hospital to work with my own patients
and was invited to apply for privileges for all patients at the hospital when I
achieved certification with ISST( International Society for Sandplay
Therapy),which I did in 1998. My clients are referred from local GPs, and from
psychologists in St. Johns. Clients also refer themselves by word of mouth.
Type of practice.
My psychotherapy practice consists mainly of sandplay
therapy with adults and some children. There is also a strong spiritual dimension
to the work with certain clients. I give instruction in meditation to individuals and I
have led one group in a course in meditation over 8 weeks. I work with
individuals who may be suffering from depression, therapists in training for
sandplay, some patients from my surgical practice and clients who are in a
process of personal development..

A unique vision of what is possible in the world of surgery. How surgery
was used with therapy in the healing of a man who had been very badly abused
as a child and had later suffered from several periods of imprisonment.

North Wales 1998 Presentation of a case at the North West Section of the
British and Irish Sandplay Society in Rifin, North Wales, UK.The case concerned
a man who had been severely abused in childhood by parents and who had been
jailed on two occassions. 1998
Gander Newfoundland 1997 Sandplay and Surgery, a presentation at Medical
Grand Rounds at the Dr. James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander,
Newfoundland , Canada. 1997
Manchester England 1997 British and Irish Sandplay Society (BISS);
presentation to that group at a seminar at All Hollows Conference outside
Manchester, England. The case presented was that of a surgical patient who
underwent surgery for cancer of the bowel and then became a client in Sandplay
and completed a deep process before his death nine months later.

Toronto 1994 Canadian Association of Sandplay Therapy (CAST)
Presentation of a case to this organization. The meeting was facilitated by
Professor Kawai,a psychiatrist and sandplay therapist from Kyoto Japan. He is
also a founding member of ISST. This was a case of a young woman who's
search for her mother brought her to the" Madonna under the Earth" Toronto,
Ontario, Canada. . 1994
Toronto 1993 Inaugural meeting of the Canadian Association of Sandplay
Therapy. (CAST), Invited to become a founding member and was elected

1989- 1996 with Dr. Agnes Bayley ISST in Rhode Island , USA. My training
consisted of 100 hours per year. I also trained in England where Dr. Bayley
works for 6 months of the year.
1997-1998 Approximatelly 6- 8 months work with Darryl Sharp, Jungian Analyst,
Toronto, Ontario. Canada. Founder of Inner City Books
1998-1999 One year with Jane Damude-Empey, Sandplay Therapist and Family
Therapist, Toronto, Ontario and also a Buddhist practitioner who has taken
bodhisattva vows.
2004-2008 Gestalt training and supervision with Robert Lee Phd Author of
several books on Gestalt therapy and member of the Cleveland Institute for
Gestalt therapy.
Sensory work.
1989 - 1995 Dr. Bayley is well known for what is called pre-sandplay or sensory
work. She has given workshops in Ireland for several Health Boards. I have
learned these techniques for working with early trauma during my long
association with her and incorporate them into my work . They are applicable to
adults as well as to children.
Sandplay in Switzerland
1991: A month long training in Zollikon outside Zurich, Switzerland. Training from
Dr. Martin Kallff (ISST) and approximately eight other Jungian Analysts from
Zurich, Italy and Germany. This program was organized by the University of
California Extension, Berkeley, California, USA.

administering the MBTI in the UK in July 2003 Completed Step 2 in 2005 and
various workshops related to the use of the Myers Briggs with teams.
